About a third of you have voted for your peers to be recognized for their hard work, their kindness, or their help and support--thank you for taking the time. I'm going to close the voting at the end of the day on Tuesday, so if you want to show support for a couple of your classmates, consider voting before it is too late.

Hi students! I want you to nominate two students in your class period who you think exhibit exceptional characteristics. Laurel and Sparsh are not running since they received the Leland Commitment to Character award from. Please consider students who are struggling but not giving up, students who are helpful and kind, or students who inspire you.
You have to use your name and you can only vote once. You have to be in first period to vote (anyone who votes and doesn't give a name that is on my first period roster will find their vote discarded). Don't worry-- I won't tell anyone who you voted for. Winners will receive a certificate and candy and a Golden Pineapple sticker! Please fill out this form by period: Period 1 Thank you! (and don't put yourself) 1. Ignore the allusion list requirement for the AP Binder
2. There are still a couple more days for students to get the three stamps needed for extra credit on the AP Binder. During tutorial for the moment, I am only seeing students who do NOT have three stamps so that students who are still trying to get the extra credit will have an opportunity to get those rewrites checked. Anyone is still welcome to come to tutorial. 3. The wonderful students with three or more stamps who agreed to give up their space on the list today are getting extra participation points--thank you so much for your team spirit. 4. Does anyone know how to create a Google form where I can survey my students? And can the form be accessed by my students through the Weebly? See me after class today if you can create that for me. Obvious--participation points and candy available to anyone who helps out. Thanks A list with everyone who will have priority for this Tuesday's tutorial is up in Forms and Docs. Anyone else is still welcome to come. And all other tutorials this week are first-come, first-serve.
Can anyone tell Thomas S. from first period that I talked to Ms. Chu and she got it all worked out? He's signed up, on time, ready to go! I can explain tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
I want to encourage students to take advantage of the opportunity to boost their participation grade by attending the play. If you cannot afford to attend, please see me (or email me) and I will find another way for you to support Leland.
If you attend the play, I need to make a couple things clear:
AP students can raise their participation grade by attending the school play (which starts today and runs the next week or two). Students who attend the play need to show me a selfie with a cast member AFTER the show is over or get a stamp from the parent volunteers AFTER the show is over or just show up on Friday to the play because I will be there. I will create an assignment worth about 10 points. Students who don't attend will be x'ed out of the assignment so they will NOT lose any points. If I hear reports that my students went to the play and were disruptive, they will lose points.
