The texts/questions of the Henry, Jefferson and Banneker assignments are posted in the Forms and Docs section of this website. The questions are due on the day we discuss the author so please check your calendar. You will also submit these individual assignments to Turnitin.com.

I have decided NOT to have students put up the posters during class on Tuesday. The posters are still due on Tuesday but I will be putting them up during Wednesday's tutorial. So anyone who wants extra participation points please come to my tutorial on Wednesday to put up posters.
I will not be here on this coming Tuesday to assign you the vocabulary quizzes but I can do that right here and now. Please download the first packet from this website and you will find a list of vocabulary words. Check the calendar for which set of words will be tested when and be ready. The quizzes are short and easy if you know the words but they do require you to know the words (I often ask for students to provide definitions of the words or offer examples).
The second packet has the grading marks that I use so you will understand the comments that I make on your writing + a couple handouts that help with some basics of good writing. Download that too. Finally, BRING YOUR BALDWIN ESSAY ON THURSDAY The College Board has some new resources for students, but you need to sign up through their website (this is also how you will be signing up for AP Tests), so please do this this week. Go to myap.collegeboard.org to sign up and use the codes provided:
First Period KYGG JV Third Period AVW4Z7 Fifth Period 7RDQA9 If you are confused or need more explanation, go to collegeboard.org/joinapclass for further explanation. Don't forget to sign up for Turnitin.com-- the procedure is in the post below. Sometime before the end of the day Wednesday, please sign up to turnitin.com.
The courses and passwords are below; make sure to choose your correct class period*. Furthermore, see the previous post about community service hours-- if you are available to put books on shelves, please come by H-4 on Tuesday at 10am for community service hours. *First period AP Language is AP Language #1 not AP Language 1st period The H-wing has brand-new carpet, which is exciting! But my classroom is in boxes. If anyone wants a community service hour or two and can help me out Tuesday morning (or Ms. Touchton) at 10 am, please comment on this site. It'll be fun (maybe) and we can start to get to know each other!
