Thanks for being so wonderful and hard-working and for laughing at my jokes.

I have a super exciting syntax PDF in the forms and docs section--can you print it out and bring to class tomorrow? Sorry for the late notice and if you can't print it out, there will be no penalty (but do bring it Monday). You can share with your neighbors!
You can also show me Huckleberry Finn books next week for extra participation points. Remember, you can pick up a copy for free from the depository.
If you attended the College and Career Unit tutorial but did not get the points, it's because you were not on the roster sent to me. BUT if you were there, go see Ms. Riebow and she can lend you your exit ticket, which I will use to give you points. Sorry for any confusion!
If you are looking for something new, interesting and stress-relieving to do during Thursday tutorial, please check out the Mindfulness Flyer in the Forms and Docs section. I'm actually kind of jealous that you all have this option and us teachers don't :)
Your out-of-class Ida B. Wells essay is due on Thursday November 10th
Your extra credit test will be during tutorial on Wednesday November 30th in the cafeteria. Please note the day and the location again. You can NOT earn any extra credit unless you pass the test (reading the actual book, not Spark Notes, is advised). If you have a prior commitment and can't make it to Wednesday's tutorial, please see me or email me this week and I will work something out. Your extra assignment is due the following day December 1st. This is an update from Eugene's post on the Super Secret Facebook group earlier today. Finally, extra participation points if you get a copy of Huck Finn on your own--the school book depository will have enough copies for all (your own copy is fine too). Show the book starting next week (opportunity ends next Thursday) ONE MORE THING! Thanatopsis is not your essay topic. It is an awful Romantic poem in your textbook and part of the Romantic Textbook assignment. Please finish the outline for Romanticism as well. See you on Thursday. |
