What specific poetic/rhetorical strategies do Whitman and Dickinson use?
What tones to the writers use in their poems? Read the intros!! Describe the poets’ style. What are the key themes that the poets write about? Please remember that a theme is NOT one word. I would re-read the poems if I wanted to do well on the test. Quote for the next quote handout is…*drumroll*…:
"In this modern age, very little remains that is real: night has been banished, so have the cold, the wind, and the stars." --Gaston Rebuffat Due Tuesday, 1/19/16. Also, Whitman & Dickinson test is on 1/21/16! In the section titled "Links," I have included a link to a good resource providing additional information about Realism.
