Message from Ms. J: If you have extra stuff lying around or if can make a run to Target tonight, here's a way we can help out our neighbors. Last I heard about 10,000 people were homeless. These people are living in tents or Walmart parking lots. The Nor-Cal Fire Donation Drop is taking place at the Cambrian Park Plaza Shopping Center in San Jose, and they are accepting donations. DROP OFF STARTS AT 7 A.M. AND THEY LEAVE AT NOON! PLEASE COME DONATE SOME SUPPLIES; some things you can bring include:
REMEMBER TO BE THERE BY NOON!!!!!!!!! ANY DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED AND YOU WILL BE HELPING THESE PEOPLE'S LIVES NOON!!Sorry this is last minute but Ms. Walsh is bringing supplies like blankets and towels and baby wipes to fire victims up north. Please consider donating used (but in good shape) or new items. Last day for this is tomorrow.
Please, please pay attention to the Romanticism background information that I posted weeks ago on this website. There are questions that I took almost word for word from that document.
And there's a new document in the Forms and Docs Section for those who liked the Melville, called "This is Water"--so not Anish. Overheard a student commenting (complaining?) on the number of Emerson/Thoreau questions. Yes, there are a lot. But they are good questions that will help you analyze these works which supports the development of reading comprehension that you will need for the AP test and for college. Nonetheless, I removed three:
In the first paragraph, when is a person happy and relieved? Is this true? (Emerson) What does Emerson say about “foolish consistency”? 6. How are Thoreau’s perceptions of his fellow citizens changed by his night in jail? |
