In regards to our discussion of Caravaggio, the two books that I would recommend are Peter Robb's M: The Man Who Became Caravaggio (easy and very accessible) and Helen Langdon's more scholarly work Caravaggio: A Life. And Lilly-- Alvaro Enrigue's Sudden Death is amazing.

Do any of you know Anish Sundaram, a senior loose in the wild? He needs to come to my tutorial tomorrow--can anyone corral him and get him there? Thanks
Recently the College Board sent a letter informing teachers of why the release of important resources for the teaching of AP Language were being delayed. My colleague wrote a thesis statement as if he was analyzing the letter. Here it is. And it's good. Take note.
"By framing his argument around a disingenuous premise, Trevor Packer appeals to teachers' goodwill and patience through a patronizing tone that relies on a faulty understanding of basic school scheduling." I have updated the October calendar and it now includes the extra credit quiz date and the day that the extra credit assignment is due. If you printed out the October calendar already, you'll want to replace it with the new updated version.
If anyone wants to help me create practice sentences for Freshmen Vocabulary Test practice, please see me after school today (Tuesday) and I'll give you extra participation points...it could be fun!
Does anyone have some time after school to help me organize? Please respond here--I only need two people. Maybe I could take one more...
The T-chart does NOT need to submitted to turnitin.com with the rest of the Henry questions.
Congratulations! Your first assignment is up on AP Classroom! This is practice for the AP Test. DO NOT CHEAT. Your scores will NOT go into to Gradebook. You will get points for answering the following: Of the nine questions, which was the hardest question (you didn't have to get it wrong) and why, which was the easiest question and why, and do you notice any patterns in the questions that you got wrong? Turn this in on September 23rd.
Vocab Wars #1 takes place in class on Thursday yet despite my explaining to class, I keep having students NOT listening to me and asking what it is all about. The first student to correctly explain in the comments here what students need to do to participate in Vocab Wars will NOT lose participation points.
